This role is home‑based with regular travel throughout the South West and occasional national travel as required. Here at Probo Medical, customer relationships are central to our success and we now have an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven Account Manager to manage and develop key accounts across the South West. Reporting to the Head of Sales, the role combines account management, business development, and the acquisition (buy back) of used imaging equipment, while generating opportunities across Probo’s full portfolio including sales, service, rental, repair, and asset management. Responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact for assigned NHS and private healthcare accounts within the South West territory. Develop and manage existing customer relationships, reactivating dormant accounts and identifying growth opportunities. Ownership of the service revenue budget for the territory to deliver growth vs previous year. Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across the full Probo product and service portfolio. Identify and pursue opportunities for the buyback and acquisition of used imaging equipment. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, OEM sales teams, service providers, and external partners. Carry out system inspections and collect asset data to support accurate equipment valuations. Prepare and present offer letters, valuations, and proposals in line with agreed pricing approvals. Negotiate commercial terms to maximise profitability while meeting customer expectations. Maintain accurate forecasting and opportunity management through Salesforce CRM. Act as the key interface between customers and internal teams to ensure effective communication and delivery. Liaise with internal departments to coordinate equipment collection, deinstallation, and delivery in line with agreed timelines. Collaborate with sales specialists, managers, and the wider commercial team to maximise cross‑selling opportunities. Manage own diary effectively, balancing customer visits and office‑based activity Attend exhibitions, conferences, and marketing events to promote the Probo brand and generate new leads. Your skills and experience Experience within the radiology or medical imaging environment, working across multiple modalities. Proven experience in account management and/or business development with a track record of achieving targets. Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and internal and external stakeholders. Experience working with NHS and/or private healthcare organisations. Strong understanding of the radiology environment and hospital procurement processes. Clinical knowledge of imaging modalities and their applications. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop profitable opportunities. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to explain complex technical information clearly and concisely. Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail, particularly in CRM and forecasting. Ability to manage expectations and handle challenging conversations professionally. Behavioural Attributes Resilient and effective under pressure.
