Senior Inside Sales Assistant

Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Inside Sales Assistant to join our team. This role plays a key part in supporting business growth by building strong customer relationships, ensuring smooth communication, and coordinating effectively with internal teams.
This is not a purely sales-driven position. Instead, it focuses on customer communication, order processing, coordination, data accuracy, and day-to-day commercial support. You will act as a central point of contact for both customers and internal stakeholders while developing your product knowledge and commercial skills through structured training.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, handling information accurately, and building long-term relationships, while growing into a more commercial role over time.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Inside Sales Assistant, you will:
1. Act as the first point of contact for existing and potential B2B customers (installers, contractors, distributors, wholesalers)
2. Support the external sales team with lead follow-ups, coordination, and administrative tasks
3. Maintain accurate customer and opportunity data in internal systems
4. Communicate with customers via phone and email, handling queries and providing information
5. Collaborate with internal teams:Marketing – support campaigns and manage incoming leadsTechnical Support / After-Sales – escalate and follow up on technical queriesLogistics / Operations – assist with order tracking, deliveries, and stock queriesFinance / Accounts – support invoicing and basic credit-related queries
6. Ensure high accuracy in data entry, documentation, and order processing
7. Build product and service knowledge through ongoing training
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
8. Has strong verbal and written communication skills
9. Is organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with data
10. Is confident using MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
11. Works well in a team and supports shared goals
12. Can manage tasks independently and prioritise effectively
13. Is proactive, reliable, and eager to learn
14. Speaks fluent English
Experience:
Previous experience in sales or business development is beneficial but not essential. We welcome candidates from customer service, administration, or coordination roles who are interested in developing commercially.
