The Role
As a Mid-Level UX/UI Designer, you will play a key role in shaping intuitive, accessible, and visually refined digital experiences within the Pensions and Finance domain. You will contribute to end-to-end design delivery across complex customer journeys, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients. This role offers exposure to large-scale transformation programmes, modern design systems, and innovative technologies, while allowing you to influence outcomes through research-led, user-centred design.
Your responsibilities:
* Design high-quality user interfaces with a strong focus on consistency, usability, and visual excellence
* Apply accessibility considerations throughout the design process, ensuring compliance with recognised standards and best practices
* Work confidently in Figma using structured approaches, including components, variants, auto layout, and design systems
* Create UX artefacts such as journey maps, service blueprints, wireframes, and interactive prototypes
* Design responsive experiences for both desktop-first and mobile-first portals
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable design systems and component libraries
* Prepare and deliver clear, compelling design presentations to clients and stakeholders
* Facilitate design workshops and collaborative sessions with multidisciplinary teams
* Plan and run usability testing sessions, synthesising insights to iterate and improve designs
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* Strong UI design capability supported by a solid understanding of UX principles
* Proven experience applying accessibility requirements in digital design
* Excellent proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, auto layout, and structured design workflows
* Experience creating journey maps, service blueprints, and other UX documentation
* Strong understanding of responsive design across desktop and mobile platforms
* Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
* Confidence presenting design work and rationale to clients and senior stakeholders
* Experience collaborating within fast-paced, cross-functional teams
* Ability to take ownership of work and manage priorities effectively
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
* Experience or strong interest in the Pensions and/or Financial Services industry
* Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards
* Experience working within large enterprise or consultancy environments
* Awareness of front-end development constraints and handover best practices
