Estimator - Cladding and Roofing

£38,000-£40,000 per annum
The Role
This is an office‑based estimator role with some site involvement where required, supporting the commercial team in pricing and securing projects. You will work across the full tender lifecycle on a mix of roofing and cladding schemes and play a key role in helping the business win work.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
* Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
* Carry out material take‑offs and pricing exercises.
* Build detailed and accurate cost estimates.
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations.
* Identify risks, opportunities and value‑engineering options.
* Support project teams at handover stage once work is secured.
* Occasionally visit sites to better understand project scope and delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in estimating within the construction industry.
* Ideally exposure to roofing, cladding or building envelope works.
* Comfortable reading and interpreting technical drawings.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Good communication skills and ability to work with internal teams and external partners.
* Confidence using Excel and estimating tools.
