Main ResponsibilitiesYou will be working with a dedicated team of Senior Radiographers/Technologists/Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, HCAs, and administrative staff.You will also be required to IV cannulate patients as part of the role. Rest assured, should you not have any prior experience in IV cannulation, Alliance Medical will provide full training. Hep B immunisation is necessary for this role.
Clinical ExcellencePerform a wide range of imaging, organ uptake measurements, and quantitative analysis of imaging data.Prepare and dispense radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring the highest standards of safety and accuracy.Prepare imaging data for clinical reporting and ensure all clinical data is securely archived according to departmental protocols.Champion patient care by maintaining the highest standards of compassion, communication, and safety, with a special focus on radiation protection and dosage.Strictly adhere to all Radiation Protection rules, including IR(ME)R 2018 NI, Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017, and Local Rules.Take responsibility for the safe and effective use of equipment, promptly reporting any defects or safety concerns.
Leadership, Mentorship & Development (Senior Positions)Lead by example, setting a high standard of personal and professional conduct within the team.Provide guidance, support, and clinical supervision to junior staff, assistant practitioners, and student radiographers, contributing to a positive learning environment.Actively participate in research, clinical audit programmes, and the evaluation of new procedures and equipment to drive continuous improvement.Commit to your own continuing professional development (CPD) through post registration courses and in service education.Service Contribution & FlexibilityParticipate fully in the departmental rota, including extended working days, evenings, weekends, public holidays, and the emergency out of hours service (including at short notice).Contribute to the general X ray rotation and on call services as required, demonstrating flexibility to meet the evolving needs of the service.Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with all Trust policies, including Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention and Control, and the HCPC Code of Professional Conduct.
Who We Are Looking For?
Essential Qualifications: HCPC/CORU Registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer. A recognised UK qualification (prioritised).Work Visa: Minimum 1 Year UK Visa Required
Knowledge: Related Diagnostic Radiography principles and best practices.A thorough understanding of IR(ME)R 2018 NI, Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017, and their practical application.of radiation protection principles and local rules
Experience: Minimum 3 Months to 1 Year relevant experience (Desirable)
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A commitment to delivering compassionate patient care and evidence based practice.
