Role details
Reports To: Managing Director
Key Relationships: Group Director of Accounting; Customer Service Team
Purpose of the role
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Management Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Greensleeves finances. Providing advice regarding all financial matters within the business, including all financial analysis into business planning and performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth.
* Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making.
* Produce month end and year end journals.
* Prepare statutory and management accounts.
* Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process.
* Manage capital expenditure.
* Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.
* Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
* Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations.
* Accountability for cash flow and production of forecasts.
* Review company assets and liabilities.
* Prepare monthly reconciliations for all accounts.
* Lead and manage the day-to-day finance requirements of Greensleeves.
* Assessment of monthly expenses.
* Calculation, presentation and payment of VAT.
* Production of relevant commercial analysis.
* Assist with group wide transactions such as intercompany accounts as cover for other members of the team
* Ad hoc requests from Director of Finance
* Manage forex transactions.
* Assist and lead in individual brands - annual audit.
* Monthly reviews with Brand Leaders.
* Any other reasonable duty that falls within your capabilities.
Experience/Skills/Knowledge
* Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or QBE
* IT literate (Microsoft Office). Excel and Word to advance level.
* Some Knowledge in D365/Sage Finance
* Thorough understanding of management information systems.

* Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial.
* Highly competent, with solid commercial acumen.
