An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to join our Barnsley Services on a permanent, full-time basis (37.5 hours per week).
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that the service is fully compliant with all regulations.
2. Practice Management.
3. Observe staff to ensure high standards are continuously met.
4. Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are met.
5. Liaise with families and other stakeholders of the people we support.
6. Ensure the continuous development of the team.
7. Provide strong leadership to ensure the success of our services.
Candidate Profile:
We seek leaders with potential to excel in our team-oriented workplace, with a passion for developing their skills further. The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager capable of leading a team of support workers, with extensive knowledge of working with individuals with complex needs, and experience liaising with families and agencies to create support plans. You will be responsible for managing services in Barnsley, reporting to the Area Operations Manager, and accountable for staff management and development.
Requirements:
* Experience and knowledge within the social care sector, especially working with people with autism, mental health issues, and challenging behaviors.
* Experience leading teams in Learning Disability services.
* Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (an advantage).
* Competency in using IT.
* Flexibility to work across 7 days, including weekends, and to travel between locations.
* Ability to perform front-line support work when needed.
Additional Information:
This role requires a flexible schedule, including occasional emergency shift cover. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to act as a role model are essential. You should be self-motivated, confident in making decisions, and committed to positive change.
