What You’ll Do
* Build and maintain backend services and APIs using the latest versions of PHP and Laravel
* Develop frontend experiences across React, Next.js and React Native (Expo)
* Work within an AWS environment (EC2, AppRunner, CodePipeline, S3, RDS)
* Collaborate closely with internal Product and Design teams - with clear ownership, strong feedback loops, and real influence on decisions
* Contribute to a clean, modular codebase with a MySQL database at its core
* Review code, share knowledge, and help shape best practices across the team
* Use AI tools in your development workflow (we actively encourage it) while applying sound engineering judgement and QA
What We’re Looking For
* 2x mid-level Full Stack Engineer (around 3+ years commercial experience), ideally with time spent in a startup or scale-up environment
* You may lean slightly backend or frontend, but you’re comfortable working across the stack
* You’ll have commercial experience with our current stack:
o Laravel / PHP (core backend services & APIs)
o React, Next.js and/or React Native
o AWS infrastructure
o MySQL
* You care about code quality, performance and maintainabilityYou’re comfortable using AI tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude, Copilot) as part of your workflow — and know how to review, validate and improve AI-assisted output
* You’re ambitious, proactive and want your work to have visible, real-world impact
* You enjoy working in a close-knit, collaborative engineering team where voices are genuinely heard
* You’re based in (or can commute to) the North West and are happy with our hybrid setup
