Job Title: MIG Welder Fabricator
Peterborough
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced MIG Welder Fabricator to join a growing and well-established fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in MIG welding and general fabrication to contribute to a variety of exciting projects across industrial, commercial, and bespoke sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out high-quality MIG welding on mild steel and other metals as required.
Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication schematics accurately.
Fabricate structural and bespoke metal components to precise specifications.
Operate a range of fabrication machinery including saws, grinders, and press brakes.
Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets required standards.
Work safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the wider workshop team to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Requirements:
Proven experience in MIG welding and metal fabrication.
Confident in reading and working from technical engineering drawings.
Skilled in working with mild steel; experience with stainless steel or aluminium is an advantage.
Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail.
Experience in operating fabrication workshop tools and machinery.
Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented approach.
NVQ or equivalent qualifications in welding/fabrication (preferred but not essential).
