We are inviting applications for a 6 month Locum Consultant Anaesthetist post at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. The post is based across our two acute hospital sites in Eastbourne, Hastings and the Sussex Surgical Centre, and includes participation in the general on-call rota.
The role offers opportunities to develop and deliver anaesthesia services for a wide range of surgical specialties, tailored to the individual's training, skills, and interests.
Main duties of the job Our department provides comprehensive anaesthesia, regional anaesthesia, acute pain, and critical care services across both sites. We are a collaborative, motivated, and supportive team, committed to innovation, education, and high-quality patient care.

Job responsibilities Anaesthesia is delivered across two acute sites Conquest Hospital (Hastings) and Eastbourne District General Hospital (EDGH) with dedicated services for both elective and emergency care.
Training and experience
Extensive experience in all aspects of anaesthesia appropriate to work undertaken in a DGH setting
Demonstrates previous experience in day-case anaesthesia
Regional anaesthesia
Paediatric anaesthesia
Perioperative Training
Qualifications & Registration
Full registration with GMC
FRCA or equivalent
Higher Qualification: a.ND b.PhD c.MSc d.MRCP
