Cover Supervisor
Location: Darlington
Salary: £90 - 120 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
A welcoming and supportive school in Darlington is seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team. This Cover Supervisor role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students and gaining valuable classroom experience.
The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise students during teacher absences, ensuring they remain engaged with learning and complete assigned work. As a Cover Supervisor, you will help maintain a calm and productive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor:
* Supervising classes in the absence of a teacher.
* Delivering pre-set lesson plans.
* Managing classroom behaviour.
* Supporting student engagement and learning.
* Providing feedback to teaching staff.
* Creating a safe and structured learning environment.
The Ideal Cover Supervisor Will:
* Have experience working with young people.
* Be confident managing behaviour.
* Be adaptable, proactive and enthusiastic.
* Have strong communication skills.
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
* Have a fully checkable work history.
