Project Manager – Galldris Group
Location: Sizewell C, Leiston.
We are looking for a Project Manager with a Civil Engineering background and a full UK driving licence to oversee all aspects of the project, including planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure within agreed timeframes and budgets and in accordance with Galldris Management system and contract requirements.
Responsibilities
As the Project Manager you will be responsible for contributing to Galldris’s safety targets, providing strong, visible, proactive leadership concerning health, safety, environment and quality standards, supporting and endorsing the Galldris Behavioural Safety programme, and ensuring the project team complies with all relevant safe systems of work.
Key duties include:
* Establish and implement site systems and controls consistent with Galldris company standards and contract requirements.
* Oversee and ensure that contract documents are understood and administered correctly.
* Organise resources for project execution, including selection of sub‑contractors.
* Ensure programme management, including short‑term planning and communication.
* Maintain appointment of contract/key dates, resource requirements, production rates, milestones and targets.
* Update resource planning and contingencies monthly, track and recover change and add value as required.
* Provide active management for third‑party liaison and interfaces.
* Secure materials and plant necessary to meet specifications.
* Ensure quality management in accordance with QMP, including ITPs, Check Sheets/WIS and NCRs.
Key Accountabilities
* Ensure non‑conformance reports are produced, investigated and closed out timely, with understanding of costs.
* Provide defect‑free handover.
* Contribute to value engineering and buildability.
* Actively manage risks and opportunities.
* Prepare monthly project progress reports and lead presentations to the customer.
* Prepare and present monthly project reviews and CVRs to the Galldris Senior Management Team.
* Support work‑winning team and bid managers with opportunities and pipeline.
* Ensure customer and supply‑chain feedback surveys are completed and improvements addressed.
* Lead by example and demonstrate behaviours that create a positive leadership shadow.
* Maintain professional credibility and integrity with customers.
Experience & Knowledge
* Good construction knowledge of techniques and productivity.
* Successful track record in managing operational delivery within construction.
* Strong knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
* Experience with reinforced concrete structures desirable.
* Temporary works experience.
* Experience managing a multi‑disciplined team.
Qualifications
* CSCS.
* SMSTS.
Skills
* IT literate.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Ability to deal with clients and internal staff.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Meticulous, organised, proactive with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
* Self‑motivated and enthusiastic.
* Excellent organisational and planning skills.
