Duties include:-Assisting the Airfield Operations Manager to develop, enhance and effectively manage airside safety within the airside environment to ensure that the experience of EMA passengers, freight customers and other airport users exceeds expectations. Implementing effective monitoring and reporting processes to ensure that third parties comply with the requirements of the Ground Handling License at all times. To ensure that the Airport’s Wildlife Hazard Management Plan is implemented on a day-to-day basis and provide feedback on areas of concern or continuous improvement Providing airside safety briefings for external contractors if required and ensure that and work areas are controlled to maintain safe operations. To undertake safety inspections to ensure compliance with statutory duties and in conformance with the inspection regime detailed in the Aerodrome Manual. To ensure that the airfield remains safe and operational during periods of adverse weather, including snow, strong winds and low visibility operations.To work with the Airfield Operations Manager on business planning and resource allocation for the Operational team. What will make you successful in the role? Technical Qualifications: Substantial experience in airfield operations. Achieve and maintain an intermediate operations qualification. Must be capable of obtaining CTC level security clearance. Must hold a full UK driving license. Must be capable of obtaining an Airside Driving Permit, including all medical requirements. Must hold, or be capable of obtaining, a firearms license. Developing and maintaining operational procedures and processes. Implementing operational procedures and processes to ensure safety at all times. Carrying out in depth accident investigations. People management and supervisory experience.
