POSITION
Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching is looking for a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant for a welcoming and inclusive Primary school in Banstead, Surrey. The school is a popular three-form entry mainstream Primary School. The school has a highly supportive leadership team and offers ongoing training for all staff. This role is open to experienced Level 2/3 Teaching Assistants, with the potential for the contract to be extended or made permanent based on performance.
DETAILS
Location – Banstead, Surrey
Position – Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant
Type of work – Supporting the class teacher, assisting with learning activities, providing 1:1 and small-group support, and helping with general classroom duties.
Start date – January 2026 or sooner
End date – July 2026 (with a view to extend to the end of academic year 2026/27)
Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Temporary
Full time/part time – Full time
Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate GBP90-110 per day (DOE)
Hours – 8:15am – 3:30pm : Mon – Fri (term time only)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
CACHE Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Minimum 1 year experience supporting pupils in a UK primary school
Good understanding of the primary curriculum
Strong behaviour management skills
Experience supporting pupils with SEN and/or EAL
Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
