About the Venue Copper Box Arena is a vibrant 6,000-capacity indoor arena located in the heart of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Operated by GLL (Greenwich Leisure Limited), this multi-purpose venue hosts an exciting mix of regular sporting fixtures, live music events, and community activities, serving as a focal point for the local East London community.

Role Purpose We're looking for an Event Operations Manager to run the show at Copper Box Arena. You'll be the person making sure every event runs like clockwork, from pre-event setup to the final breakdown.
That means managing a large casual workforce across bars, kiosks, and hospitality areas, being the visible presence on the floor when things kick off, and driving both standards and revenue.
You'll deputise for the General Manager, work closely with our GLL client, and be accountable for the entire F&B operation on event days. This isn't a desk job, you'll be on your feet, thinking fast, solving problems in real time, and leading from the front.
You'll need at least 5 years in event operations, ideally in an arena, stadium, or similar high-volume venue. We're after someone who knows how to manage big casual teams, understands stock control and cash handling inside out, and thrives under pressure.
If you're operationally sharp, commercially minded, and happiest when you're in the thick of it on event night, this is the role for you. Evenings, weekends, and irregular hours come with the territory, as does the buzz of live events.
