Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Aircraft Integration Engineer to join our team in Berkeley, MO. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless integration of aircraft systems and components, contributing to performance, safety, and reliability of our aircraft. The ideal candidate will have a strong aerospace engineering background, focusing on systems integration, and demonstrate leadership to guide a team of engineers in delivering innovative solutions.
Position Responsibilities
* Lead aircraft systems integration, including avionics, propulsion, and structural components, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
* Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and testing teams to develop strategies and resolve technical challenges.
* Conduct system analysis and simulations to validate performance and identify issues early.
* Oversee test plan development and execution for verification and validation.
* Mentor junior engineers, fostering continuous improvement and technical excellence.
* Prepare and present technical reports to stakeholders and authorities.
* Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
This position is 100% onsite at the listed location. The candidate must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance; US Citizenship is required. A final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is necessary.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution.
* At least 7 years of experience in aircraft systems integration or related roles.
* Experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
* Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, avionics, flight control, and propulsion.
* Proficiency in analysis tools like MATLAB, Simulink, or similar.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and teamwork ability.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor’s in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
* 10+ years in aircraft integration, especially in commercial or military sectors.
* Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
* Knowledge of regulatory and certification processes (FAA, EASA).
* Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
* Experience with project management tools.
Additional Details
Relocation assistance available based on eligibility. Shift: 1st shift. This role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; US Citizenship is mandatory. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The salary range is $119,850 - $162,150, with applications accepted until May 21, 2025.
