About the role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Facilities Coordinator to support the delivery of high-quality facilities and cleaning services across a portfolio of sites. Working closely with the Facilities Manager, Site Supervisors and cleaning teams, you will help ensure buildings are safe, compliant, well-maintained and welcoming for building users.
This is a varied, hands-on role that combines people supervision, site coordination and customer liaison. You’ll regularly visit sites, support frontline teams, respond to issues, and act as a key point of contact for clients and building occupants, including Cornwall Council services.
What you’ll be doing
1. Visiting allocated sites and supporting facilities and cleaning teams (company vehicle provided)
2. Ensuring sites are stocked with materials and consumables
3. Supporting delivery of contracted facilities services
4. Providing absence cover and hands-on facilities support when needed
5. Acting as a key point of contact for building users and contractors
6. Monitoring safe access, egress and winter safety arrangements
7. Supporting day-to-day site operations (room set-ups, deliveries, consumables)
8. Reporting defects, incidents and safety issues using digital systems
9. Championing health, safety, compliance and security
10. Responding to incidents and emergencies as required
11. Acting as a professional ambassador for Cormac Ltd

About you
You’ll bring a practical, organised approach with a strong focus on safety and customer service, along with:
12. Experience in facilities, cleaning or property services
13. Confidence supervising staff and managing daily operations
14. A good understanding of health & safety and risk assessments
15. Proven IT skills and experience using digital systems
16. A professional, approachable and assertive communication style
17. Flexibility to work varied hours when required
18. A full UK driving licence
Qualifications & Experience
19. NVQ Level (or equivalent) or relevant experience
20. Previous facilities or cleaning services experience
21. Ability to carry out minor maintenance tasks
22. Comfortable working in a safety-critical environment
