Temporary Secondary School Cover Supervisor

The Role: Flexible Classroom Management
As a Temporary Cover Supervisor, you will be called upon to manage classrooms on a day-to-day or short-term basis. Your focus is on maintaining a productive atmosphere-no lesson planning or marking is required.
* Classroom Supervision: Lead classes across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will deliver pre-set work provided by the department and ensure students stay focused.
* Adaptability: Be prepared to work across various subjects daily-moving seamlessly between different departments as required.
* Behaviour Management: Confidently apply the school's behaviour policy to maintain order and a positive learning environment.
* Student Support: Help students navigate their tasks and answer general questions to keep them engaged with the curriculum.
* Reporting: Take accurate registers and provide clear, concise feedback for the permanent teacher regarding student progress and conduct.

* Confidence & Presence: The ability to lead a room of teenagers with authority and calm.
* Excellent Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to build quick rapport with students and staff.

* Experience: Previous experience coaching, mentoring, or working with young people (ages 11-18) is highly desirable.
* Reliability: Punctuality and dependability are essential to the school's daily operations.
