Outreach Worker Annual Salary: £25,235 per annum Location: Basingstoke (out on patch) Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)Join a dedicated team as an Outreach Worker in Basingstoke. This role is crucial for those with a deep understanding of the root causes of homelessness and social exclusion, aiming to make a significant positive impact in the community. Day-to-day of the role: Identify and build relationships with individuals who are rough sleeping within the local area. Participate in outreach sessions and make regular visits to agencies and venues frequented by people who are rough sleeping. Provide clients with advice and information to offer an enabling service that supports their needs. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring all interactions are documented promptly and accurately. Participate in an outreach rota which includes early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Engage in an on-call, out-of-hours rota to provide support as needed.Required Skills & Qualifications: A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle Strong understanding of the root causes of homelessness and social exclusion. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
