Job Description
We're looking for a Product Manager with experience in, and knowledge of, the lighting industry. If you're currently working within lighting, or having covered lighting product development within the last five or so years, please do read on!
The business we're recruiting for a is a leading innovator within lighting, designing and developing cutting-edge solutions for B2C and B2B applications. They're a global organisation and this role will give the opportunity to work across not only hardware, but supportive software applications also... it'll be very varied on the product front!
About the Role
You'll play a pivotal role in driving the new product development (NPD) process, and that's both new, and existing product editing in mind. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to bring new lighting concepts to life, from initial ideation to successful market launch.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and customer needs.
* Develop and manage product roadmaps, prioritizing features and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Monitor the performance of the portfolio and suggest edits
* Work collaboratively with designers and engineers to translate product concepts into manufacturable solutions.
* Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
* Monitor product performance after launch and make recommendations for improvement.
* Stay up-to-date on the latest lighting technologies and industry trends.
You'll be a good fit if you have:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in a product management role, ideally with two of these within the lighting industry. Lighting industry experience is essential
* A proven track record of successfully launching new lighting products.
* Strong understanding of the lighting industry, including relevant technology developments and regulations.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience in product design and development processes.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
* A passion for innovation and a desire to bring new ideas to market.

This is a hybrid position, working three days in the office, and two days from home.
The business has an outstanding reputation for employee satisfaction. With very occasional international travel (once per quarter), this role will suit someone able to travel relatively infrequently.
