We’re looking for a proactive and confident Community Safety Officer to join our team on a fixed-term basis. This role plays a key part in helping us create safer neighbourhoods by tackling anti-social behaviour, supporting residents, and working closely with partners to resolve community safety concerns. What you’ll be doing Managing community safety cases, including reports of anti-social behaviour, neighbour disputes and environmental concerns. Working directly with residents to investigate issues, agree actions and provide clear updates throughout each case. Using a range of interventions to resolve problems, including warnings, agreements, referrals and legal remedies where appropriate. Carrying out visits, interviews and risk assessments, ensuring safeguarding and personal safety are always prioritised. Working closely with internal teams and external partners such as the police, local authorities and support agencies to achieve positive outcomes. Keeping accurate case records, preparing reports and contributing to performance monitoring and service improvement. What we’re looking for Experience working in community safety, housing management, ASB, enforcement or a similar frontline role. Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage challenging conversations calmly and professionally. Confidence working independently, managing a varied caseload and making sound decisions. Good understanding of safeguarding, risk management and health & safety when working in the community. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, including accurate record-keeping and reporting. A flexible approach, including willingness to work occasional evenings where required. Full UK driving licence (or ability to travel independently). Additional information The successful applicant will be required to complete a basic DBS check due to the nature of the role and contact with residents.
