Role: Senior Buyer - Aerospace
Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE
Hours: Mon – Thurs (7.00am/8.00am – 4.00pm/5.00pm) and Fridays (7.00am/8.00am – 12.00pm)
Holidays: 5.6 weeks of annual leave per year inc. bank holidays, increasing to 6.6 weeks inc. bank holidays following 1 year of continuous service.

Overview:
Working within a first-class precision engineering business that manufacture components with methods such as CNC Machining, Sheet metal and Fabrication, we now require a Senior Buyer to lead a team of 2 buyers, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
Brief overview of accountabilities:
* Effective day to day management of your designated suppliers
* Lead monthly order book reviews with designated suppliers to identify performance improvements
* Lead the project management of key purchasing projects
* Manage inventory levels where applicable to an optimum level to ensure business continuity
* Ensure internal systems are kept up to date with supplier inputs (lead times, pricing, delivery dates etc)
The ideal candidate/ Senior Buyer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
* Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment that manufacture and assemble components – machining, sheet metal and fabrication or similar
* Previous experience working in a buying capacity within an engineering environment with some leadership duties or the capacity to manage and lead a team.
* Strong communication and numeracy skills
