With operations in 17 countries and employing over 6,000 staff worldwide, our business responds to the needs of our clients by delivering high-value engineering expertise tailored to our clients’ most complex challenges.
In the UK, we have a key focus in the Nuclear sector, contributing to groundbreaking projects, such as Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC)
The Position: MEH Project Manager
As a MEH Project Manager you’ll bring your technical and operational expertise to support on the Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC (MEH) branch of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project. You’ll work collaboratively across both SZC and HPC, identifying and implementing practical solutions that capture valuable lessons learned from HPC and feed them back into SZC’s design and delivery.
You’ll play a key role by ensuring the initial reference configuration meets the highest quality standards. You’ll validate and refine input data from HPC to make sure it aligns with SZC’s requirements, while also helping to identify and resolve issues within the MEH scope as equipment moves from manufacture or fabrication to installation on site.
Some of the main responsibilities of the MEH Project Manager will include:
* Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives within the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project, sharing learnings with Sizewell C (SZC) and proposing practical solutions (e.g., development of the Standards Field Solutions concept).
* Maintain site configuration across key project phases
* Support the MEH branch by ensuring the initial reference configuration - based on the latest and most relevant HPC deliverables—meets the highest quality standards.
* Manage engagement with IT systems and tools, ensuring alignment with process and data management requirements.
* Address and resolve issues within the MEH scope, following the delivery of manufactured or fabricated equipment to site, managing associated risks and volumes effectively.
* Resolve mechanical–civil interface challenges on site, with a particular focus on tolerance issues arising from pre-cast components.
* Lead the definition and implementation of Standard Field Solutions for the MEH scope, ensuring alignment with established approaches used in the Civil discipline.
* Deliver replication activities within the scope, with a focus on replication planning and implementation for SZC.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with project managers, engineering teams, and other key stakeholders across the delivery programmes and the Technical Directorate to ensure effective coordination and knowledge sharing.
Preferred Profile:
Alongside a commitment to our values of Care & Compassion, Performance, Team Spirit, and Inclusiveness, we are looking for individuals who can bring the following:
* Proven experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary design and procurement activities, driving teams to deliver outcomes on schedule.
* Strong project management, project engineering, and technical coordination capabilities.
* Background in mechanical, electrical, process, systems, or civil engineering for large-scale industrial plants.
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related discipline
* Previous experience working on Hinkley Point C (HPC) or other EPR projects.
* Knowledge of engineering principles specific to EPR projects, including a detailed understanding of EPR design.
* Experience in pre-tender and tender processes for procuring design, manufacturing, or installation contracts for industrial equipment.
* Awareness of commercial considerations in the delivery of major projects.
* Proven ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships effectively
* Reside locally to Bridgwater or be prepared to relocate, as this permanent role does not include travel expense coverage.
Please note that visa sponsorship is not guaranteed and is assessed on a case-by-case basis, depending on role criticality and project needs. Many of our UK projects require high-level security clearance, meaning we can often only consider candidates with an existing, indefinite right to work in the UK. Exceptionally, we may consider visa sponsorship for applicants with niche experience aligned to our core work (e.g. EPR/nuclear new build).
