Senior Design Manager role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Manager to join our site in the Oxford region. We are currently working with a leading contractor who are looking to strengthen their construction team.
Senior Design Manager Responsibilities:
* Lead the design process ensuring the design aligns with project goals and budget
* Manage the design consultants as well as working closely with the project teams to oversee the development
* Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and be able to translate them into clear design briefs
* Work with architects to ensure the designs are practical and compliant
* Ensure the project meets the deadlines set
* Deliver high quality work
* Manage the creation and review of design drawings
* Work with project managers and contractors to ensure a seamless integration between design and construction
* Identify any risks that could cause the project to be delayed
* Monitor the progress of the project - ensuring all budgets and schedules are adhered to
* Address any design changes that will benefit the client
* Track the design process ensuring it aligns with the project deadlines
