Restructuring Associate (1-3 PQE) – US Law Firm – London
Taylor Root have partnered with a globally recognised US law firm who are currently looking to hire into their Restructuring team in London. This role would be suitable for those who are between 1 – 3 PQE.
The Firm
Considered to be one of the fastest growing and most successful US firms in London, the office now boasts 100+ lawyers and is the second largest office for the firm globally. Our client has built a strong reputation across corporate, dispute resolution, competition, and funds. They are one of the only US law firms in London who have consistently hired over the last 5 years and have clear strategies in place to move the firm forward.
The Team
The Restructuring team globally have been involved in the largest and most complex restructurings, specialising in representing creditor and stakeholder groups. In London, they have recently made two successful hires at Partner level, increasing their capacity to work outside of traditional corporates and encompass clients from capital solutions funds, direct lending funds, CLO to private equity owned debtors. The Partners are now looking to build out this team to support the growth plans.
The Role
As an Associate in the Restructuring team, you will gain exposure to complex cross-border restructurings, special situations debt transactions, and stressed liability management transactions. You will also work closely with a Partner who focuses on global finance across sponsor and lender side transactions.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have between 1 – 3 years PQE in Restructuring and Finance. Ideally, this experience will have been gained at another US or leading UK law firm. Candidates who are either purely focused on restructuring or have a mixed practice will be preferred.
