We are looking to appoint a SENDCo for a September 2026 start who will play a key role in strengthening provision and ensuring that pupils with SEND succeed. This role sits at the heart of the school's improvement work, particularly in early literacy, behaviour and inclusion. This role will initially include approximately 2 days SENDCo responsibility (to be confirmed), with the remainder of the role as a class teacher.
Responsibilities
* Strengthen early identification, particularly of underlying SEND needs that impact behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
* Drive high-quality teaching so that all pupils can access the curriculum.
* Develop staff confidence and practice.
* Work closely with families and external agencies.
* Understand strong SEND provision in practice.
* Has experience of improving a range of outcomes for pupils with additional needs.
* Can support and challenge colleagues with credibility.
* Is organised, resilient and able to prioritise.
* Builds strong relationships with staff, families and external partners.
* Is motivated by making a difference in a school that is improving.
Qualifications
You may already be a SENDCo or an experienced teacher with a secure knowledge of SEND ready to step into the role for the first time.
