The Upward Care team are looking for people who are friendly, positive, and have a genuine passion to support others. You will play a key role in offering a person-centred service and ensuring the safety of everyone in our care as part of a kind and supportive supported living team with roles based in Walsall You will be able to support our tenants to enjoy a range of activities, including cooking, shopping and other daily living skills and days out featuring walks and lunches. To be considered for this role you will need: To be passionate about working with people in a care setting To have proven experience of working with people with learning disabilities in a work setting or by caring for a friend or relative Strong numeracy and literacy skills to complete basic calculations, undertake tasks such as shopping for residents, and maintain accurate records Further training will be available to help enhance your skills. This role will require you to have a QCF Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent. If you do not already have this qualification, we will fund this for you as well as your training as long as you are willing to work towards obtaining this on appointment. Working Hours: Nominally 40 hours per week, subject to achievement of goals and objectives and the covering of vacant shifts. Requirements: Experience is advantageous but not necessary. A full programme of training will be offered to candidates who have the ability and enthusiasm to learn with a view to obtaining relevant QCF or equivalent vocational qualifications.
