We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Officer to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining an attractive, safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment. The Facilities Officer will be responsible for a variety of tasks including caretaking, portering, repairs, maintenance, and emergency responses.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
1. Monitor and operate building management, security, and safety systems.
2. Provide assistance and support to Security colleagues, reacting to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and supporting premises evacuation procedures as a Fire Warden.
3. Ensure the premises are securely opened and closed.
4. Perform reactive and planned maintenance duties.
5. Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the College and grounds, including graffiti removal and litter collection.
6. Provide a visible, friendly, and helpful presence around the College, identifying and reporting property damage and faults.
7. Liaise with and monitor Contractors to ensure compliance with the College’s safety and safeguarding procedures.
8. Manage incoming orders, maintain stock levels, and order equipment and supplies.
9. Utilize the College vehicle for post runs and deliveries between sites, including vehicle maintenance.
