Following a review in the Housing Department, Tenancy Services now have a part‑time vacancy of 30 hours per week. The post is in a fast‑paced, challenging environment. Team working is essential for this role.
Visiting/Administrative Officer – primarily support Social Housing Regulator work. As part of this role you will visit tenants in their homes, record visits using tablets and handwritten audit forms, and complete any follow‑up work. A knowledge of the South Derbyshire area is preferable and strong, knowledgeable IT skills are essential, together with providing correct and consistent advice to customers. You will also support in other Tenancy Services duties and provide a high standard of administrative support.
The Council would like to hear from committed, enthusiastic and determined applicants who can help to deliver a frontline housing service that responds to the changing needs of customers and the new regulatory framework. The successful applicant must have the ability to hold and manage difficult conversations with customers both face‑to‑face, over the telephone and by email.
You must have a current driving licence and access to your own vehicle together with reliable internet access to support flexible homeworking. Hours and days of work will be agreed to meet the needs of the service at the time of appointment.
