About the Role
You will be supporting Primary and Secondary pupils with Autism (ASD) and associated communication needs. Much of the role involves 1:1 support, helping pupils engage with learning and daily routines. Many students are non-verbal and work best with structured methods such as PECS, visual cues, and ABA strategies. With small class sizes and strong teamwork, you'll play a vital role in helping pupils feel safe, supported, and confident to learn.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support to pupils with autism and communication needs.
* Help pupils engage with learning activities and daily routines.
* Support non-verbal students using structured methods such as PECS, visual cues, and ABA strategies.
* Collaborate with a small, supportive team to create a safe and encouraging learning environment.
Ideal Candidate
* Patient, empathetic, and motivated to support SEN learners.
* Experience or knowledge of autism, communication needs, PECS or ABA is an advantage but not essential.
* Graduates (particularly in psychology, education, or related fields) and college leavers are warmly encouraged to apply.
* Full-time availability is required to provide continuity for the children.
