Job Description Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Heat Pump Installations Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £30,000 – £60,000 per year Location: Surrey (with travel across South London and Berkshire) Schedule: Monday to Friday Role Overview A skilled Mechanical Engineer is required to support the installation of air source (ASHP) and ground source heat pump (GSHP) systems in high-end residential properties. The role involves working independently or as part of a high-performance team, delivering exceptional standards in mechanical and plumbing work, and maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach. Key Responsibilities • Install heating, cooling, and ventilation systems according to design specifications or verbal instructions • Fit various types of plumbing pipework and integrate renewable heating technologies, including ASHPs, GSHPs, and MVHR systems • Operate efficiently from site to site and report to mechanical supervisors or senior staff • Maintain high levels of punctuality, professionalism, and safety on all jobs • Communicate effectively and courteously with clients throughout the installation process Requirements • Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical engineering or plumbing roles • NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (Level 3 preferred) • Experience with heat pump installations (experience with brands such as Vaillant, Mitsubishi, Stiebel, or Samsung is advantageous) • Full, clean UK driving licence • Strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and in a team setting Benefits • Competitive salary (based on experience and qualifications) • Monthly pay • 28 days paid holiday (including bank holidays) • Access to on-site gym • Company van and fuel card (discretionary) • Pension scheme (post-probation) • Employee of the Month scheme
