JAB Recruitment is delighted to be sourcing an Offshore Materials Coordinator on behalf of our client. This is a long-term ongoing PAYE contract, offering the opportunity to play a key role in supporting drilling, completion, and well intervention operations.
Basic Purpose of the Role
Coordinates all planning, tracking, and mobilisation of equipment and personnel in relation to offshore operations during drilling, completion, or well intervention activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Liaise with Drilling Supervisor and Onshore Logistics Coordinators to ensure timely arrival of equipment and materials offshore.
* Prepare and issue daily look-ahead reports (forecasting) in conjunction with Drilling Supervisor.
* Control details of all company equipment and maintain an accurate Rental Register.
* Liaise with marine/supply base to coordinate movements of supply and anchor handling vessels.
* Prepare and issue Load Lists to ensure timely arrival of equipment.
* Coordinate personnel movements in line with offshore operational requirements.
* Work with aviation service contractors to schedule crew changes and control flight schedules.
* Check all equipment/goods shipped to and from rig, reporting any non-conformances to Onshore DMC.
* Maintain accurate records of rentals, equipment, and consumables, resolving issues with Onshore Materials teams and suppliers.
* Prepare and control manifests; ensure timely return of non-required rental items.
* Provide Onshore DMC with accurate list of rental equipment being returned.
* Ensure all operations comply with Oil & Gas UK Guidelines for safe packing and handling.
* Coordinate prompt return of rental equipment and prepare inbound manifests in compliance with dangerous goods and waste regulations.
* Communicate and collaborate with Onshore DMC, Peterson Base Focal Point, Offshore Drilling Contractor, and service personnel to ensure effective operations.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Essential Training/Certification
* Offshore Survival Training Certificate, UK Medical, and MIST
* IATA & IMDG certification (Dangerous Goods by Air and Sea)
Essential Experience/Knowledge
* Extensive offshore experience, including drilling operations within the UKCS in a Materials role
* Strong practical knowledge of drilling, completion, or well intervention equipment
* Proven experience in drilling materials movements and logistical processes
* Working knowledge of UK Guidelines for safe packing/handling of cargo to and from offshore locations (HS014)
* Understanding of UK Customs & Excise requirements relevant to the role
* Knowledge of health and safety processes in drilling logistics and operations
* IT literate: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – intermediate to advanced
Preferred
* Working knowledge of LOLER & PUWER
