Customer Delivery Driver – Dundee Riverside Extra
We are looking for a Customer Delivery Driver to join our Dundee Riverside Extra team. The role offers flexible working with a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week (a minimum of 12 hours is available).
Pay starts at £13.35 per hour and increases to £14.56 per hour for stores inside the M25, with possible additional payments depending on location.
Availability windows: Tuesday 08:00‑20:00, Friday 08:00‑20:00. Your contracted hours will be scheduled within these times and you will receive three weeks’ notice of your exact shifts.
As the face of Tesco on the road, you will deliver orders, meet customers, and provide excellent service. The role is physically active, varied, and requires a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the van and trays are clean, tidy, and organised.
* Keep the rear of the van clear of rubbish and pick up litter as required.
* Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
* Load the van according to the loading plan and check the van for roadworthiness.
* Communicate changes to customers, including short‑code items, substitutions, and refunds.
* Treat all products and deliveries with care.
* Explain any free substitutions to customers.
* Deliver within the customer’s scheduled time slot.
* Call the customer before arrival if you will be early.
* Contact the store/centre if you are 30 minutes or more late.
Requirements
* Build strong relationships with colleagues to support team spirit.

* Share ideas with your manager and colleagues for continuous improvement.
* Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic only) for at least 12 months and no more than 3 penalty points.
