Overview
The Group People Systems Manager will lead the strategic direction, oversight and optimisation of the Company's global HCM SAP Success Factors and other associated people systems. The role ensures systems continuously adapt to changing business needs, regulatory requirements and user expectations, fostering incremental improvements and long‑term resilience. The Group People Systems Manager works in partnership with the Global People Leadership team, operational people professionals and the IT function to continuously improve the people systems landscape and drive organisational efficiency.
Responsibilities
1. Strategic Alignment & Technology Roadmap — Work with functional stakeholders to understand business strategy and translate it into long‑term technology roadmaps; identify opportunities for technology to support growth and efficiency; recommend new technologies and system upgrades based on vendor roadmaps and operational requirements.
2. Systems Estate Oversight — Monitor performance of technology and ensure systems are fit‑for‑purpose; govern technology and data use, ensuring compliance with standards and policies; endorse recommendations for system upgrades and replacements.
3. Project & Programme Delivery — Create functional technology programmes and investment cases; oversee delivery of new technology investments approved by the Enterprise Project Management Office; manage project activities, including planning, resource allocation, progress monitoring and risk management.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Governance — Act as point of contact and advisor for all technology requirements within people systems; engage with functional leaders, vendors and regulatory bodies to ensure solutions meet functional needs; ensure adherence to group‑wide governance frameworks related to technical and integration standards.
5. Change Management & Adoption — Oversee change management activities for new system implementations and upgrades; promote effective adoption of new tools, ensuring users are trained and supported; monitor and report on adoption rates and user feedback.
6. Continuous Improvement — Identify and implement process and system improvements to increase stability, efficiency and automation; stay abreast of technology trends and best practices to enhance functional capabilities.
7. Team Leadership & Collaboration — Build and lead the team required for system requirements and delivery; coach and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Qualifications
* Deep understanding of people systems processes and the technology landscape in the area.
* Excellent working knowledge of the SAP Success Factors ecosystem and awareness of technology trends in human resources.
* Experience in delivering technology projects and understanding of systems implementations.
* Strategic thinking to see the big picture and align systems with long‑term needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
* Understanding of technology standards, project management lifecycles and best practices, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
* Occasional travel to the Head Office in Croydon (approximately twice per month).
