We are redesigning our community services model and implementing a new Intermediate Care Team. An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Senior Administrative Officer to help deliver an urgent community response service and play a crucial role in developing the service, providing essential support and care to individuals, with a focus on promoting independence, dignity, and well-being.
The objective is to optimise safe and timely discharge from an inpatient stay for patients that need some form of continuing care or prevent admission with interventions that can be managed at home.
Main duties of the job
Work independently within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) policies and procedures and provide a high-quality administrative and data analysis support function to the Intermediate Care Service.
Play an integral role in ensuring patients are seen within agreed timeframes and carry out a range of duties including staff management, using a variety of IT applications, undertaking data analysis, creating and maintaining schedules, spreadsheets/action plans, producing reports, setting up databases, inputting information, supporting the multi-disciplinary team and flow.
The post holder will support monitoring of Intermediate Care Service enquiries, answering the phone and managing calls, maintaining records systems, dealing with incoming correspondence, arranging training, booking appointments and meetings.
The post holder will be required to establish and maintain effective communication with a wide variety of multi-disciplinary teams, partner organisations, patients, their families/relatives and other professionals.

Person specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Knowledge of one or more computer system(s), hardware or software, or telephony systems acquired through undergraduate Diploma or equivalent experience, skills and knowledge
* Knowledge and understanding of Primary and Community Care
Skills and attributes
* Ability to prioritise work and identify urgent requirements, adjusting and re-prioritising as necessary
* Welsh language speaking/listening skills at Level 3 or above
Experience
* Experience of using computer packages including data entry into databases
