Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

A welcoming and vibrant 3-form entry primary school in the heart of Salisbury is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive team on a full-time basis from September 2026.

The Role
As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. This is a varied and rewarding position, ideal for someone confident in leading whole-class teaching as well as supporting pupils in smaller groups.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
* Supporting pupils’ learning across a range of subjects and year groups
* Leading small group interventions to support progress and attainment
* Working collaboratively with teachers to plan and adapt learning activities
* Providing feedback on pupil progress and contributing to assessment
* Supporting the overall ethos and behaviour expectations of the school

* HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
* Proven experience working within a primary school setting
* Confidence in leading whole-class teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
