Park Recruit are partnering with a leading construction and engineering organisation to recruit an experienced Planner / Programmer to join their growing project delivery team. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams from tender stage through to project completion, developing robust programmes, monitoring project performance, and providing critical planning support to ensure projects are delivered on time and in line with client expectations. Role Summary Reporting to the Senior Planner, the Planner / Programmer will play a key role in producing accurate construction programmes for both tender and live project environments. The role will involve planning procurement and design milestones, monitoring project progress on site, and producing forecasting reports. Role Responsibilities Develop detailed, cost and resource-loaded programmes using critical path analysis. Prepare written method statements and programme commentary documentation. Monitor site progress and update programme reports for internal and external stakeholders. Analyse delays within contract programmes and report findings to management. Produce, maintain and amend project programmes using planning software such as Primavera, Asta Powerproject, or Microsoft Project. Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical information. Work collaboratively with the supply chain, project teams and external stakeholders. Person SpecificationTechnical Competencies Essential Degree inCivil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience). Minimum5 years experience in a construction planning role covering both pre-contract and post-contract stages on major projects. Experience working on projects involvingNEC and Design & Build contracts. Strong understanding of construction methods includingsteel structures, concrete frames, and timber frame construction. Knowledge ofmodular construction would be advantageous but not essential. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proven ability to meet deadlines within a client-facing environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with design and site teams. Flexibility to travel and work acrossGreat Britain and Ireland as required. ValidCSCS card.
