Unqualified Teacher - SEN

We are currently supporting a specialist SEN school near Ely, Cambridgeshire that works with pupils who have Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and/or Autism. All students have EHCPs and require highly personalised, structured, and compassionate teaching approaches.
We are looking for a confident and experienced Unqualified Teacher with strong SEN experience to provide PPA cover across the school. This role would suit someone comfortable leading learning independently and adapting teaching to meet the needs of pupils working well below age-related expectations.
Unqualified Teacher role responsibilities:
Deliver structured and engaging lessons across EYFS to KS4
Provide PPA cover across a range of classes and learning pathways
Plan, adapt, and deliver lessons for pupils with Autism and moderate to severe learning difficulties
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Help maintain a calm, safe, and consistent learning environment

The school follows three learning pathways – Formal, Semi-Formal, and Sensory – ensuring teaching is tailored to each pupil’s developmental and learning needs. Pupils present with a wide range of complex needs, and the successful Unqualified Teacher will bring patience, creativity, and a child-centred approach to their practice.
Essential requirements:
Strong SEN experience across EYFS to KS4
Confidence planning and delivering lessons independently
Good understanding of differentiation, sensory learning, and communication-based strategies
A calm, resilient, and proactive approach
