Public Sector Accounting and Financial Reporting Senior Manager
Background: Finance functions in the public sector face increasing demands due to complexity, regulatory, structural, and accounting changes. Grant Thornton is expanding its team to provide Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Finance Function Support to Public Sector organizations. We seek a Senior Manager to support the growth of this team and assist public sector organizations with financial reporting and accounting challenges.

Our Public Sector Financial Reporting and Accounting Support (“FRAS”) team supports non-audit clients with accounting, financial reporting, and finance function support. Our UK audit practice employs over 2300 people across 24 locations. Our Public Sector Audit team of over 470 people works with NHS Trusts, Local Authorities, and other public bodies. Knowing you’re right for us
Minimum criteria include:
* Professional Accounting qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA, CIPFA)
* Post-qualification experience in professional services or within local government/health finance functions.
* Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and public sector financial reporting.
* Experience in project management, team leadership, and business development.
