Sealand Projects are currently recruiting for self-motivated individuals seeking to further their career in subsea engineering in support of conventional energy, renewables and net zero sectors.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Support the activities of the business as required in the capacity of Structural Engineer.
* Prepare Structural deliverables in line with company processes, applicable codes and standards and Client requirements.
* Liaise closely with Draughting discipline for the preparation of drawings in support of Structural workscopes.
* Perform review of deliverables prepared by internal resources and/or subcontractors, ensuring consistency of approach and that the appropriate level of quality is maintained.
* Manage workload to ensure deliverables are issued in line with project schedule/planned deadlines and maintain communication with Project Manager, Lead Engineer and Discipline Leads to provide updates on progress.
* Management of subcontractors and suppliers where required.
* Prepare presentation material and participate in any necessary review sessions or workshops required as part of the project activities.
* Provide technical support for manufacturing, fabrication and installation scopes, addressing operational queries that require design input or acceptance.
* Attendance at site/offshore as required in support of operational projects and workscopes.
* Ensure specific BMS and EMS processes and procedures within area of responsibility are reviewed, understood and adhered to.
* Provide mentoring support and guidance for graduates as required.
Qualifications:
* University degree level in relevant engineering discipline.
* Minimum 7 years relevant working experience.
* Competent user of specialist technical software including, but not limited to; STAADPRO, CAD, Prime & FEA.
* Good communication abilities with strong interpersonal skills.
* Clear self-discipline, time management and organisational skills.
* Familiar with legislation, codes and standards as relevant for area of responsibility.
* Strong background in working with vessels and their layouts.
