About New Haven New Haven is a warm, homely 24-hour supported living service based in a shared house in Cookstown. We support five adults aged 18-60 who are living with complex mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and high-functioning autism. Our role is to help residents develop daily living skills, build healthy routines and relationships, and grow their confidence to live as independently as possible within the community. Referrals come from the Community Mental Health Team and local hospitals, and each resident receives person-centred support tailored to their needs. ?? What Will You Be Doing? As Night Cover you will be a key part of a supportive and compassionate team, helping to ensure a safe calm and reassuring environment throughout the night. This includes: Being a reassuring presence overnight and offering advice, guidance or support to service users if needed. Acting as the main point of contact during the night and responding calming to any emergencies or concerns. Completing overnight checks and checklists to help maintain a safe and -well run service. Supporting with medication where required in line with policies and training. Carrying out light, general tidying to help ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment. Ensuring the building remains safe and secure throughout the night Recording relevant information and contributing to clear handovers for the day team Every night is different. You will follow agreed overnight routines and task sheets, complete safety and security checks, and ensure clear handovers are provided for colleagues. Most importantly, your calm, respectful and supportive approach will help people feel safe, valued and supported during the night. ? What Makes a Great Fit? We're looking for someone who is: Compassionate, respectful, and emotionally intelligent A great communicator, listener, and motivator Able to balance professional boundaries with a human-centred approach Confident working both in a team and independently Comfortable supporting people in their own home If you've worked in a supported living or mental health setting before, brilliant but just as important is your ability to work with kindness, integrity and a willingness to learn. ??
