Join to apply for the SEN / SEND Tutor, Tyne and Wear role at Targeted Provision. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN and other additional educational needs in Tyne and Wear. We support children and young people with MLD, SLD, and SEMH needs and are increasingly supporting those with moderate and severe learning difficulties.

Responsibilities
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), SEMH, MLD / SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Plan each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring to be holistic, engaging, and tailored to each learner’s needs
* Deliver high‑quality, trauma‑informed tutoring and mentoring to advance learners’ educational and social‑emotional journey
* Complete lesson reports and provide timely feedback on the young person’s progress
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
* Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online assignments
Employment Status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker, to provide short‑term engagements as they arise
* You will work through a contract for service and will be paid via PAYE
* We do not offer any set amount of work nor expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self‑employed tutoring / self‑employed teaching position
