We are currently seeking an Assistant Procurement Manager to support growth across our Infrastructure and Transportation programmes. Upon joining, you will assist senior colleagues across various projects with procurement activities, including preparing bid tender documents.
Your responsibilities:
* Support sourcing, bid evaluation, supplier selection, negotiation, procurement, and delivery of goods and services.
* Assist with evaluation criteria, selection, negotiation, presenting recommendations for award, and executing purchase orders and contracts.
* Collect vendor information, costing data, schedules, and other reports; support supplier relationship management.
* Manage daily contract activities, monitor supplier performance, ensure milestones and deliverables are met, and oversee progress relative to budgets.
* Handle invoice management, ensuring contract deliverables and payment milestones are achieved and approved prior to payment.
* Coordinate with stakeholders such as suppliers, technical leads, and project managers to meet technical, schedule, and cost targets; support schedule and cost estimate development.
* Evaluate potential suppliers based on past performance and financial strength; maintain positive vendor relationships.
You may also support the win-work team by researching, writing proposals, and drafting fee proposals.
Qualifications and skills:
* Degree in procurement, supply chain, engineering, construction, or related field.
* Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with clients and stakeholders effectively in both written and verbal forms.
* Ability to manage workload independently and take responsibility.
* Good analytical skills with a commercial focus and a desire to learn and develop skills.
* Interest in achieving MCIPS accreditation; ability to collaborate with colleagues, consultants, and contractors.
