Position: Merchandise Supervisor (Store Operations Coach)
As a Merchandise Supervisor (Store Operations Coach), you’ll bring to life a shopping experience that makes every customer feel right at home. By ensuring high store standards, keeping products readily available, and managing smooth recovery processes, you’ll help the team deliver an exceptional experience every time. Your leadership ensures campaigns are executed flawlessly from the start, driving sales while maintaining an engaging and friendly shop floor. You’ll lead by example, offering support and motivation to your team, with the goal of boosting sales and maintaining high standards.

What you'll be doing
* Create a friendly and welcoming shopping experience by maintaining high shop floor standards.
* Lead the team to execute campaigns flawlessly, ensuring the store is visually appealing and easy to navigate.
* Keep the team updated on new products, support customer conversations, and promote the store via our local Facebook channel.
* Coach your team on link selling and actively encourage increasing the average basket size (ABS) by boosting impulse sales and guiding customers to discover what they need.
* Celebrate great performance regularly to motivate the team and foster pride in their work.
* Maximise team productivity and consistency by coaching adherence to our One-Way Delivery/Recovery Model principles.
* Ensure smooth daily delivery with clear purpose for each team member during shifts.
* Use the Recovery Planner to organise recovery shifts, ensuring the store is tidy, well-stocked, and prepared for trading.
* Hold wellbeing check-ins, progress reviews, and career conversations with your team to support store succession planning.
* Drive on-shelf availability and maintain recovery standards to maximise sales and store presentation.
* Use commercial trading techniques and Power BI sales reports to maximise impulse sales, total sales, and ABS.
* Follow POS, H&S, and TACS guidelines for Walkway and Seasonal areas.
* Set up ME displays with guidance, using POS guides and checking known issues logs to identify challenges and solutions.
* Build a strong delivery and recovery team by coaching and mentoring future leaders.
* Stay on top of all InTouch tasks and plan ahead for upcoming activities.
* Ensure accurate and timely implementation of price changes.
* Coach the team on security tagging to minimise stock loss and safeguard inventory.
What we'll look for in you
* You’re polite, focused, and capable of motivating and leading a growing team.
* With supervisory experience, preferably in retail, you understand the importance of customer focus, effective communication, and driving sales.
* You’re adaptable, willing to work weekends and evenings to support team and customer needs.
* You have a passion for retail, a positive attitude, and confidence in tackling challenges.
