HV Design Engineer

£62-68 an hour
12 Month Initial Contract
Essential Skillset:
* Design HV and LV electrical systems for solar projects
* Produce and review Single Line Diagrams
* Manage grid connection applications and liaise directly with DNOs
* Strong understanding of Grid Code requirements including G99 and G100
* Specify primary plant including transformers, switchgear, protection systems, inverters, and metering
* Support protection design and relay settings in line with DNO requirements
* Review and respond to DNO technical queries and connection offers
* Provide technical support through procurement, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and energisation
* Ensure compliance with BS, IEC, ENA standards and project-specific requirements
* Support design reviews, xcswzye risk assessments, and value engineering exercises
* Experience with grid modelling tools such as ETAP or similar
* Strong experience within solar PV, renewables, or power generation sector
* Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
