We are seeking a Recruitment Consultant to join our Cambridge office!
As a Recruitment Consultant, your primary focus will be to develop and nurture relationships with organisations across Cambridgeshire. You will be conducting business development (sales calls) to engage recruitment teams, directors, line managers, and other key stakeholders. You'll be responsible for recruiting the best and most experienced candidates across Procurement & Supply Chain.
This is a commercially driven, negotiation‑heavy market recruiting Procurement Managers, Category Managers, Buyers, Supply Chain Analysts, Contracts Managers and Heads of Procurement. Procurement professionals negotiate on behalf of organisations, ensuring value for money, sustainability, social value and ethical supply chains, making this a strategically important desk for Hays.

Your New Role
* Proactively generate new business through targeted cold and warm outreach to prospective clients within the Procurement sector.
* Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key organisational stakeholders, including Heads of Procurement, HR Directors, CFOs, CEOs and mid‑management decision‑makers.
* Conduct in‑person meetings with hiring managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of their recruitment priorities and present appropriate hiring solutions.
* Source, assess and recruit high‑calibre candidates for a variety of Procurement and Supply Chain positions, including public sector specialists who may require development on frameworks and sector‑specific terminology.
* Meet and exceed daily targets and KPIs, contributing to the growth, profitability and strategic objectives of the Cambridge Procurement desk.
