We are seeking a dynamic Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Ipswich.
This pivotal role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge IT infrastructure solutions that ensure reliability, scalability, and security. How you'll make an impact
Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
* Develop scalable and secure IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, networks, and cloud environments.
* Align infrastructure designs with application architecture and business objectives.
* Implement load-balanced solutions for high availability and disaster recovery.
* Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.
System Administration & Maintenance:
* Manage physical and virtual servers, Active Directory, DNS, and Microsoft application services.
* Administer telephony systems and contact center solutions.
* Monitor systems to optimise uptime and performance, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
Disaster Recovery & Support:
* Develop and test disaster recovery plans to meet business and client requirements.
* Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, collaborating with IT support teams to resolve problems efficiently.
Documentation & Process Improvement:
* Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure designs, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
* Identify areas for improvement in processes and recommend future standards.
About You
* Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, Azure Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
* Proven expertise in server/network administration, virtualisation, and cloud technologies.
* Proficiency in Microsoft server operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, IIS, SQL, and Exchange Online.
* Strong understanding of networking topology, firewalls, routers, and hybrid cloud environments.
* Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and scripting tools (PowerShell, Python).
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a systematic approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to mentor and foster technical expertise across teams.
