The Role
As a Boyswear Graphic Designer within Next’s Fashion Brands team, you will act as a creative guardian for a prestigious portfolio including Paul Smith, Allsaints and Ted Baker boyswear, ensuring their unique brand "DNA" is translated into elevated, commercially successful designs across multi product categories, ages 0-14 years.
By bridging the gap between trend research and technical execution, you’ll make a tangible impact on the aesthetic direction of our collections, reacting with agility to market data to keep our offerings ahead of the curve.
You will thrive in a highly collaborative environment, working side-by-side with partner brands and internal garment teams to bring concepts to life across diverse product categories. To ensure your success from day one, Next provides comprehensive brand immersion and technical onboarding.
What You’ll Take On
* Design High-Impact Collections: Create innovative, commercial, and elevated graphics that align with brand identities and drive sales.
* Manage Factory Partnerships: Liaise directly with global factories and suppliers to oversee the production process, ensuring your creative vision is accurately translated.
* Build Trusted Relationships: Foster strong, professional bonds with external brand partners and internal teams to build a culture of confidence and seamless collaboration.
* Coordinate Cross-Functionally: Work alongside Product Technologists, Buying & Merch teams to develop collections that meet quality standards and hit every milestone.
* Translate Global Trends: Research and communicate emerging trends in colour, fabric, and graphic techniques, turning abstract inspiration into actionable design concepts.
* Deliver Technical Precision: Produce detailed and accurate Tech Packs that provide factories with clear specifications needed to minimise errors and maximise efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
* Versatile Design Expertise: Adaptable style to switch between brand aesthetics, product categories, and age ranges across boyswear.
* Menswear Background Ideal: Logo/Graphic experience within portfolio.
* Technical Mastery: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite with deep understanding of print techniques, trims, and woven branding.
* Commercial Sharpness: Ability to compose graphics and logos that are commercially viable and on-brand.
* Resilience and Agility: Thrive in fast-paced environments, staying organised and positive when priorities shift.
* Clear Communication: Present concepts confidently and convey technical requirements to stakeholders and suppliers.
* Collaborative Spirit: Dedicated team player who mentors and supports junior designers.
* Forward-Thinking Skills (optional): Experience with 3D design software / AI visualisation tools, or garment construction background.
