SALARIED GP/Permanent or Fixed term or Flexible role

Sessions Negotiable/Flexible

Commencing April 2026 (happy to wait for the right candidate sosoon to qualify candidates also welcome)

Forward thinking, Semi-rural, VTS training & Medical student teaching practice. Excellent transport links.

Fantastic opportunity for 1-2 well‑motivated patient‑centred GP(s), Sessions negotiable and flexible, to join our friendly, dedicated team. Currently: 2 Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 3 Practice Nurses including Nurse Prescriber and HCA along with ARRS staff. The Practice is looking to expand to meet rising demand and develop and welcome GPs with special interests/can support professional development and have a good work-life balance. Happy to wait for the right candidate.


Main duties of the job

Competitive Salary + Indemnity + Pension.

6 weeks annual leave + 1 week study (pro‑rate).

Support GPs with Special interests.

Will consider newly qualified/experienced GPs seeking to have a good work life balance. Skilled Visa (Formerly Tier 2) GP Practice.

About us

Purpose‑built modern main site & Branch surgery Galley Common Nuneaton.

GMS Practice.

CQC Good (2022, 2026).

Active North Arden Primary Care Network and Progressive Federation member.

Paper light with Emis Web, Docman, EPS, AccuRx, SurgeryConnect.

Services offered: Minor surgery, Joint injections, counselling service, midwife, First Contact Physiotherapy, Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescriber, Dietitian, Mental Health Practitioners, Health and Wellbeing Coaches, Community ambulatory BPs, 72hr ECGs and Extended Access.

Nurse led chronic disease clinics.

Low home visiting practice.

Daily Coffee breaks per session, Separate Admin times, Triage first system.

Excellent Training & Medical Education track records.


Job responsibilities


Clinical Duties

* Conduct face‑to‑face, telephone, and online consultations for patients of all ages
* Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses
* Prescribe medications in accordance with guidelines and best practice
* Undertake home visits when required
* Provide preventative care and health promotion advice
* Manage long‑term conditions (e.g. diabetes, asthma, hypertension)
* Participate in safeguarding responsibilities for children and vulnerable adults


Administrative Duties

* Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date patient records using clinical systems EMIS and Docman
* Process test results, referrals, and correspondence in a timely manner
* Complete medical reports and documentation (e.g. fit notes, insurance forms)


Teamwork & Collaboration

* Work closely with nurses, pharmacists, and ARRS roles.
* Participate in practice meetings and clinical discussions
* Support and supervise junior staff or trainees where appropriate


Quality & Compliance

* Adhere to General Medical Council (GMC) standards and revalidation requirements
* Contribute to clinical audits, QOF targets, and service improvement initiatives
* Maintain compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards
* Follow practice policies, NICE guidelines, and NHS protocols


Person Specification


Essential

* Fully qualified GP with CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training)
* Registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and on the GP Register
* Licence to practise in the UK
* Excellent clinical knowledge and decision‑making skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to patient‑centred care


Desirable

* Experience working in UK general practice
* Desirable experience of working with EMIS
