You'll oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of technical equipment for the Fashion department, bringing expertise in sewing techniques, construction, embroidery, and printing. Managing day-to-day resources, particularly in our Fashion & Sewing Rooms, you'll ensure top-notch functionality and cleanliness. Your role extends to contributing to major events like the end-of-year fashion show and exhibition, advising on equipment replacement, and providing specialized technical support, especially with industrial sewing machines. Responsibilities for the role: Setting up and operating the departments Industrial sewing machinery Ensure the proper functioning and safety of the department’s equipment. Provide guidance and support to students and staff in the use of equipment and tools. Collaborate with faculty and production teams to facilitate technical aspects of projects and events. Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to address issues promptly. Assist in the organization and inventory management of materials and supplies. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in equipment technology. Uphold safety protocols and regulations in all aspects of equipment usage and maintenance.
